JVA Registration Process

 Due to a scheduling conflict, the tournament scheduled on Bloomington for April 13-14, 2013 has been moved to the Peoria River Plex.

The rosters for the Spring 1013 teams had been completed. This was a long tedious task.Eastside Volleyball  The travel are scheduled for a 2nd assesment tbis Friday.

We look forward to our Meet Your Coach / Picture Day on March 10 at the Peoria RiverPlex. Fee's are due at that time. Practice Uniforms will be distributed, pictiures taken both individual and team. Please bring picture form with you. Fund raising pick-up is at 1:30 pm and MUST be picked up by 2:00 pm.

 The I-74 Challenge Playing Schedules have been posted under "Hosted Events". The I-74 Challenge is a joint invitational tournament hosted by Eastside VBC, Illini Elite VBC, and Prime Time VBC.

 The Eastside Volleyball Club is pleased to announce our upcoming 2013 Junior High / Grade School program. The information meeting will be held at the Peoria River Plex on Sunday, February 3, 2012. A comprehensive plan will be announced about the travel and local programs. The assessment / tryouts will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Peoria River Plex; 601 Water Street; Peoria, IL. Cost for the try-outs is $30 and includes a t-shirt.

It is getting more difficult to find available gym space for practices, so we may have to cut players from our program. We have contacted Dunlap High School and never received a reply, and we are also trying to get access to other schools. Participants may also want to explore the BAVC Expansion Program in Bartonville. The contact person for the program is Jeff Arends. We will be posting specific try-out information with the required forms for both locations once they are finalized. We are hoping to share more information at the information meeting. If someone has access to a gym and would like to start an expansion program, we will also assist with that endevor.

To stream line and save time prior to the day of try-outs, it would be advisable that the Eastside Registration Packet and JVA Medical Release Form be filled out ahead of time.

 The Eastside VBC is pleased to announce their Annual VolleyKids/VolleyTots Winter Clinic. Registration for the clinic will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Great Oaks Church, 515 State Route 116, Germantown Hills, IL. The clinic will run each Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:15 pm from January 15, 2013 to March 5, 2013. The cost for the clinic is $60.

We look forward to the Eastside VBC Inner Club Play Date / Officiating Clinic. All Players should arrive by 10:30 am. PLease wear any shirt with a number on it.

 The 2013 Final Team Assignments have been set and approved by the Board of Directors. We did everything we could to satisfy request's without denigrating the tier process. Please note that the AllPlayers.com registration MUST be completed within 7 days. We will make one effort to get that complete and players from our waiting list will be inserted. Coaches will contact the teams within 7 days to confirm their participation. Please note the practices that will be in December. Finally, there will be only one Travel Team (16-Red). Players that made the "Travel Team" have already been notified. Our expansion teams will have additional opportunities. Meetings will be held in December to outline those other opportunities.

 The Eastside Volleyball Club is pleased to annoiunce the Fall Fund Raising opportunity to help out players offset their dues. The fund raiser profit will afford the opportunity for players to make 40% profit on sales. The Fund Raising Sales Sheets MUST be turned in on Novermber 18. Individual sales checks should be made out to the player, and ONE check will be accepted from the player. Pick-up for the fund raiser must be done on November 26, 2012 at 6:00 pm.

Eastside Volleyball Club to Offer Fall Youth Volleyball Clinics in Peoria Area

    EAST PEORIA – The Eastside Volleyball Club, Inc. is pleased to announce their Fall Youth Volleyball Clinic series. The club in its 17th year will be once again offering volleyball training for VolleyTots (3U to 5U), VolleyKids (6U to 8U), Grade School (9U to 11U), and Junior High School (12U to 14U). The clinic series will be held at the Peoria River Plex every Sunday from September 9 through October 28. The cost for participation will be VolleyTots ($40 - 6 hours training), VolleyKids ($40 - 6 hours training), Grade School/Junior High School ($60 - 8 hours training). Each participant will receive introduction to basics of the sport of volleyball, expert training, game situation tips, and a clinic t-shirt. Any girl or boy is eligible to participate in the clinic. The clinic is being organized and run by Eastside Volleyball Club Staff. The Fall Clinic Information Flyer can be filled out and sent to: Eastsidevbc; 1621 Highview Road; East Peoria, IL. Sign-ups will also be taken the first day of the clinic, but pre-registrants will not have to wait in line. Feel free to distribute flyer to any interested participants.

  Former Eastside VBC standout volleyball player Janise Dismuke and current University of Illinois-Chicago player was named as the MVP of theBest Western Invitational hosted by the University of North Florida.

She is doing really well this season. Since her team needs her to hit, she plays in a 6-2 offense. She is playing Middle in the front row until the "main" middle is in the front row with her. Then, of course, she sets from the back row. She's having a blast and her team is undefeated.

 Danielle Thompson, Eastside Volleyball Club 17-1 team member, and volleyball standout at Blue Ridge High School was recently named to the Champaign News-Gazette Nifty Fifty list of state of Illinois Prep volleyball players.
